Pedal Against Cancer 2008 08 24

"Pedal Against Cancer" is an initiative of Patrick Murphy, skin cancer survivor. Patrick has a story to tell and he's decided to tell his story with a bicycle ride across Canada.

He would like to raise funds for cancer research and build an online community of individuals who care about the cause. The website has the goal of uniting people who have been touched both directly and indirectly by the disease and who wish to exchange and receive messages of hope as well as express or obtain support. His message is to tell people with cancer that there is always hope, and that they are not alone.

Patrick will arrive in Toronto on August 24th. He wants to invite people to participate in the adventure and pedal with him from Barrie to Toronto, thereby helping him complete this difficult journey. At the end of the day, there will be a BBQ-Lounge in Queen's park, Toronto to thank the participants who joined us.

Soon after, on August 26th, we will be passing by Hamilton, going to Brighton and Kingston.
