Bit by a dog...stung by a bee
It certainly could be worse and I am not really complaining, it's more of an ironic observation but in the past 2 weeks my family has been bit by dogs and stung by a bee.
No worries both dogs have their shots and no-one was seriosuly hurt, as for the bee, I couldn't catch up to him to ask if he had his shots, lol!!!!
Fortunately, Lucy's dog bite came from a tiny chiwawa that my brother owns and it was just a tiny nip, although she was quite suprised and we are sure to keep her away from it.
Anthony's dog bite, well, that's a different story and it could have ended up a lot worse then it did. His place of employment owns a watch dog, this dog is a 'killer' and is trained to only be gentle with 2 employees at the shop. One of the employees that is familiar with the dog made a terrible mistake of bringing the dog over to Anthony and a few other co-workers on a leash. It lashed out and bit Anthony's arm. Needless to say, this employee feels very bad, SO HE SHOULD, he knows better!
I got away with just a bee sting but the way it happned is quite funny and typical of 'Shelly's corky life events'. It's one of those " oh, that would only happen to Shelly " stories. I was talking with a neighbour and a bee came flying in the breeze and I guess a gust of wind directed it right at my mouth, it pinged my lips and I am sure if I hadn't closed my mouth as fast as I did ( I was in mid sentence) it would have landed in my mouth. Instead, it bounced off of my lips and hit my arm, then at that point it stung me and flew away. I don't blame it!!!
Well, we have all made it through and our 'war wounds' are healing. As I said, it could be worse and we are just fine!!!
