moving on

this morning... I sent this email to the manager of my men's slow-pitch team.  A team I played for for more then two decades.

Well - It's the end of an era

Guys,

It with great sadness, and tremendous regret, that I repectfully decline a roster positition with the Lakeport Royals.

This decision, by myself and my family, does not come easy.  After careful diliberation and thoughtful consideration, I have chosen to take on a full-time pitching option with the Brew Jays of Burlington Men's B-Division Slow-Pitch League.

While this new challenge finds me competing along side of some of best atheletes from the Hamilton Tiger Cats front office, I feel, that with conviction and determination, coupled with over two decades of experience and a pre-game Miller Genuine Draft, I will rise to this challenge... baring further injury.

Go get em' guys... see you on the sport pages.

I shall always be a Lake Port Royal by heart... and plan on retiring in my Lakeport Steeler Beer tee.
